-What do you need to know?-

So before your shoot there are a few things that you NEED to know. The first thing is PLEASE remember to pay before or on the day of your shoot, for now I only take cash or check. Please know that I do not take many posed shots like walmart does (unless you ask). I will do just about anything my clients ask of me, but my style is more free and open. I LOVE the unrehearsed photos the best, I like natural poses NOT STIFF.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

What should you wear?

I have had this question many times and to me there is no right or wrong answer but there are a few tips I can give to help you....First is have everyone compliment each other, but don't be to matchy-matchy. Avoid big words or logos on shirts as they do not photograph well. Dont be afarid of bold colors or patterns, layers, and textures look great and give a little something extra. Be bold...crazy patterns like animal prints can make for fun pics as well. Pick rich, fun colors, and jewel tones are also great, they add depth to your photos.(DETAILS)-you have probably heard this many times & its true (ITS ALL IN THE DETAILS) the best photos often times have the smallest details. Pick a great pair of shoes, cool jewelry, a funky headband or a hat. When in doubt just ask me...Oh yeah be comfortable NOT STIFF ;). MOST OF ALL have fun with your clothing. LET YOUR TURE PERSONALITY SHINE.

Before your shoot?

So prior to your session I will call or email you and talk about the session. One thing that is important is the location you would like you be at. If you are having trouble deciding, consider any place you and you loved ones enjoy spending time. Great photos can be captured anywhere as long as you are happy and relaxed.Country fields, backyards, farms, your house, etc...it's all up to you. If you can't think of any place you love than I can help and pick a great place for you. Also please remember that proofs take at least 3 to 4 weeks to get done,Wedding photography takes a bit longer as i take many more photos for weddings. Southern Charm Photography sessions are ALWAYS light, fun, relaxed. Don't worry about the small stuff...if your child is crying, or doesn't want their photo taken, don't worry...I have two kids and I understand how kids can be. I always get great shots in the end. Hugs, tickles, and snacks are all great things to get you child to open up and have fun.
